Grace Jones has been announced as the Sunday night headliner for Standon Calling, which takes place from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th July 2017 (with early entry and limited entertainment available on the Thursday) in the grounds of a 16th Century manor house near Ware, Hertfordshire.
She joins the many acts already confirmed, including headliners Orbital and Clean Bandit, along with Slaves, Editors, Laura Mvula, Kate Tempest, Gary Numan, KT Tunstall, Nothing But Thieves, KT Tunstall, Steve Mason, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), British Sea Power, Slow Club and Fickle Friends amongst others, along with DJ sets from Faithless, Idris Elba, Lindstrøm, Joe Goddard and more.
There's also a new comedy programme, headlined by leading new comedian James Acaster, with emerging star John Robins also confirmed. Along with the gather-round thrills of the Pub Quiz, the sipping of smooth concoctions from the Cocktail Masterclasses, the unwinding Acoustic Sets or the in-depth talks, dancing until 4am, dipping in the outdoor swimming pool, toddlers to teens enjoying a daytime array of unique activities, and even the Standon Calling Dog Show, there's something unmistakably new at every corner of Standon Calling.
Expect a line-up includes like-minded bands and DJs on 2 stages all chosen by Madness, with the only other act confirmed so far being David Rodigan.
Madness say: "Madheads, Carnival heads and madkids united to revel in the sunshine on Clapham Common for the first ever House of Common in 2016, it was the highlight of our mad year and we’re now spending these cold hours and days planning how to make 2017’s even better, we’ll worry about the entertainment, you bring the sunshine."
A huge list of live acts, DJs and sound systems have been announced for the UK's only annual reggae camping festival, One Love, who celebrate their 10th anniversary this year from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd September, at yet another location this time at Colebrook Lakes, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Confirmed acts (some announced previously) include Derrick Morgan, U-Roy, Benjamin Zephaniah, Vin Gordon and Real Rock Band, Saxon Sound System, Reggae Regulars, Capital Letters, Black Slate, Delroy Williams and Sons of Africa, Prince Hammer + Sword of Jah Mouth, Mad Professor, Jah Wobble, Gaudi, Dennis Bovell, Manudigital, Atomic Spliff return with their "reggae from Belgium", Channel One Soundsystem, Iration Steppas, Alpha and Omega, Vibronics meets Conscious Sounds ft Madu Messenger, Sentinel Sound, Suns of Dub, Jerry Dammers, King Tubby Sound System, Earl Gateshead "yeah, yeah", Twilight Circus Dub Sound System, Jah Sufferer Sound, Maestro Sound, Unique Star Sound and many many more.
The festival has already announced they will be honouring Bunny 'Striker' Lee who is celebrating his 50th years in Reggae and GreensleevesRecords 40th anniversary, and as usual will include the sound clash as the country's best reggae sound systems do battle.
New for this year is more reggae culture with meet & greets with, and talks by, some of the artists plus guest speakers, art exhibitions, book & record signings, film screenings and more.
There'll also be more family activities with the 'Space of Love' in a marquee, a quiet area of peace healing, arts & creativity, where you can enjoy workshops such as yoga, reggae sound baths, meditations, communal drumming sessions and active art exhibitions, with the workshops for both children and adults alike. There'll also be some carefully handpicked stalls to explore offering many services like healing and massage, while each morning between 9am and 11am the festival will have a variety of meditation, yoga and sound therapies.
Also new is a woodland area hosted by WNBC Radio - Alex Peterson and friends including Jah Wobble and Youth (Killing Joke in Dub) & Gaudi.
The event created in recognition of one of the world's greatest ever rock gig, Bob Marley's famous 1978 'One Love' concert, will host Delroy Williams and Sons of Africa, Saxon Sound System, Blackslate, Capital Letters, Suns of Dub, Channel One Soundsystem, Iration Steppas, Dennis Bovell, Twilight Circus Dub Sound System, Smith & Mighty, Earl Gateshead, Love Express, Blackstar Sound, Maestro Sound, GI Roadshow, Stereophonic Sound, Nick Manasseh, Direct Impact, Instrument of Jah Sound System, Mixmaster Morris, Dan Wiltshire, The Reggae Choir, and many, many more.
The first acts have been announced for the 5th Liverpool International Music Festival which takes place between Thursday 20th and Sunday 23rd July 2017 at multiple venues across the city, with three strands to the Festival - the 'LIMF Summer Jam' at Sefton Park, a series of ticketed events 'LIMF Presents' and the award-winning 'LIMF Academy'.
Summer Jam on Sunday will headlined by Cast, performing a set of old and new, plus acclaimed singer song writer Corinne Bailey Rae, singer JP Cooper, Kate Nash, rising star Louis Berry, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, So Solid Crew, MJ Cole, Fuse ODG, Tieks, Logan Sama, as well as locals including Hooton Tennis Club, The Tea Street Band, and Xamvolo.
Also for the Summer Jam are The Christians, Shola Ama, Donae'o, Sinead Hartnett, The Sugarmen, Youngr, Taya, Jane Weaver, Veyu, Dusky Grey, Artful Dodger, Sticky, DJ Target, Manny Norte, Seani B, Ras Kwame, WideAwake, Diztortion, DJ Edu, Siobhan Bell, James Hype, Elijah & Skilliam, Andy Mac, DJ Zeke, DJ 2kind, No Fakin, Spykatcha, and DJ Muvelo.
Years & Years have been announced as headliner as a UK festival exclusive for the one-day Mighty Hoopla which takes place at Victoria Park, Hackney, London on Saturday 4th June 2017 with 4 music stages.
The join a line-up which includes All Saints, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Charlotte Church's Late Night Pop Dungeon, Will Young, S Club 3, Raye, Girli, Alma, Porter, Snap!, and Alison Limerick.
The live acts are alongside a celebration of alternative club culture with Sink The Pink and Guilty Pleasures, with energetic DJs, bedazzling dancers, live bands and speciality performers galore. There's Prince tribute night Purple Rave, Hakuna Matata, Girl Power and The Grand, plus premier power ballad night Ultimate Power; the bingo party that's taken the UK by storm - Bongo's Bingo; huge karaoke night Masseoke; female only R&B night R&She and We Love Pop (does what it says on the tin), and East End performance bar The Glory will take over the bandstand.

Download Festival, which takes place at Donington Park over the weekend of Friday 9th to Sunday 11th June 2017 has announced the return of WWE NXT LIVE! for those who love "the hard-hitting, innovative and action packed brand".
Apparently, these guys are famous: Bobby Roode, Aleister Black, Tye Dillinger, Kassius Ohno, Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, Killian Dain, and Nikki Cross, with many more too (though with a note that says 'subject to change').
Download Festival Promoter, Dave Bradley said: "Having WWE NXT at Download is like seeing what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object - you just know sparks are gonna fly! Wrestling and rock music go hand in hand and if last year is anything to go by, this exclusive festival experience is only going to be bigger & better for round two! This is not to be missed."
Current NXT Champion Bobby Roode, who made headlines with his NXT debut at last year's Download Festival said:
"Download was my very first show in NXT. The combination of NXT Superstars and massive musical acts, entertaining tens of thousands of passionate fans makes Download a unique experience. Returning to Download as NXT Champion will make this an extra special moment for me as a performer."
Download Festival has headliners of System of a Down, Biffy Clyro, and Aerosmith.
Many more acts have been announced for Spanish festival Festival Internacional de Benicassim, which takes place at Benicassim (north of Valencia), Spain from Thursday 13th until Sunday 16th July 2017.
Leading the names is Deadmau5 who will be performing a Spanish festival exclusive as co-headliner alongside Foals, along Stormzy, Crystal Fighters, Peter Doherty, Courteeners, Kaytranada, Dua Lipa, Mura Masa, Los Planetas, Love of Lesbian, Kaleo, Rufus, Declan McKenna, James Vincent McMorrow, Theme Park, Peaking Lights, Twin Peaks, Sunflower Bean, Mykki Blanco, and Belako.
Already confirmed are headliners are Kasabian, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Weekend, and Foals with Deadmau5 (co-headliners), plus Stormzy, Crystal Fighters, Ride, Bonobo, Tyler The Creator, Slaves, and more, with many more to be announced over the coming weeks
