Over Bank Holiday weekend, Lymelight festival is bringing you over 60 different music acts over four days on 3 stages, as well as a beautiful artisan market, beer stall from Lymestone Brewery and a fun fair! They couldn’t fit much more in the town centre if they tried.


On Friday 28th April, kicking off the festival we have four acts performing on the main stage:

At 19.45, opening the stage is Captain Stingray's Groove Machine, their music is ‘a spicy blend of Afro, Latin American, Reggae, Funk and Rock.’ This seven-piece band make eclectic music you can’t help but dance to.

At 20.35 you will catch Vidorra, who won ‘Best Young Act’ at this year’s Music Awards of Staffordshire and Cheshire with a set of electronic dance music with influences from the likes of Skrillex and Major Laser.

Playing from 21.25 until 22:05 is 10 o Clock Chemical, the ‘electronic band lowering your sensory threshold with crunching riffs and the dirtiest drops this side of the stratosphere has to offer’ who also earned themselves an award at the MASC’s with Best New Act.

Headlining Friday night will be Akahum, a six-piece electronic ‘groove fuelled twisted dance music project’. The band is in its 10th year, storming the electronic and dance scene, even playing at Glastonbury festival back in 2011. Be sure to catch them on the main stage, Friday, April 28 from 22:25.
